The Mind, Brain, and Education Lab at UNL
Who we are:
The Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) lab conducts educational neuroscience research. We bridge cognitive sciences, developmental psychology, neurosciences, and education.
Our research identifies neural, cognitive, and emotional mechanisms that support learning across development.
Our public:
We investigate learning trajectories from the earliest to the most advanced stages, which includes from preschool children to college students.
We aim to characterize STEM learning, particularly math learning, from its neural and cognitive foundations, which develop early in life, to applied knowledge, which is consolidated in college.
Our methods:
Experiments
Neuroimaging
Interventions
Our mission:
Our mission is to improve people’s lives through education.
We investigate the cognitive and neural mechanisms that support STEM learning and train the next generation of rigorous, impactful researchers.
Our values:
Excellence | Ethics | Innovation | Teamwork | Equity | Open science
