The Mind, Brain, and Education Lab at UNL
Who we are:
The Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) lab conducts educational neuroscience research. We bridge cognitive science, developmental psychology, neuroscience, and education.
Our research identifies neural, cognitive, and emotional mechanisms that support learning across development.
Our public:
We investigate learning trajectories from the earliest to the most advanced stages, spanning from preschool children to college students.
We aim to characterize STEM learning from its neural and cognitive foundations to applied knowledge. We particularly focus on math learning, since it is a core discipline for STEM.
Our methods:
Experiments
Neuroimaging
Interventions
Our mission:
Our mission is to improve people’s lives through education.
We investigate the cognitive and neural mechanisms that support STEM learning and train the next generation of rigorous, impactful researchers.
Our values:
Excellence | Ethics | Innovation | Teamwork | Equity | Open science
